Whether you need to pay a deposit depends upon the hire package you choose and your credit history. If you have a strong credit history no deposit is required.<br/><br/>

Included in your Northgate vehicle rental are: road tax, all servicing and non-fault maintenance events, Tyres (replacement from 3mm tread depth), filters, brakes, Cam belts, CVRT, replacement vehicles, breakdown cover and costs, parts failures, and depreciation.<br/><br/>

Not included in your Northgate vehicle rental are: Insurance and consumables like fuel and Adblue, and any damage or repairs that are not considered non-fault maintenance or fair wear and tear.<br/><br/>

Northgate do not provide insurance, customers need to have their own insurance policy set up under the same name as their Northgate Account.<br/><br/>

If you are a 12Months+ customer you can change the vehicle once during your agreed term. If you are a Flexible customer you can change the vehicle by off hiring your current vehicle and starting a new hire. Please speak to your Account Manager who will be happy to help.<br/><br/>

Yes, signage can be added to the vehicle. You have two options: you can use your own sign writer to sign the vehicle but signage must be removed before off hiring, or alternatively we can supply sign writing for you and include the cost in your rental.<br/><br/>

Yes, Northgate can add any extra equipment you may require to your vehicle for an additional charge. Please speak to your Account Manager to learn more.<br/><br/>

There is an excess mileage charge of 0.5c per kilometer for any additional kilometers used. You have the option to change your mileage band once during your term.<br/><br/>

In the event you wish to take any Vehicle outside the Republic of Ireland, you must agree this with us in writing in advance and comply with certain additional insurance requirements as notified by us. If we consent, we will charge the Administration Fee for completing the additional paperwork required by us to permit you to take the Vehicle outside the Republic of Ireland.<br/><br/>

Did you know it is a legal requirement for your vehicle to be CVRT compliant? All commercial vehicles must submit for a Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness Test when they are one year old and annually after that. Our team will call in advance with a time and location that will suit you for your CVRT appointment.<br/><br/>

AdBlue is used to decrease emissions and increase efficiency in certain diesel vehicles. Adblue itself is a harmless, colourless liquid made of water and 32.5% urea. AdBlue is considered a consumable similar to fuel. If your rental vehicle requires AdBlue, it is the driver's responsibility to keep this topped up. AdBlue can be purchased from the vast majority of fuel stations and from motor factors. How often your vehicle requires AdBlue is dependant on the type of vehicle you are driving, your driving style and loading conditions. <br/><br/>

Servicing & Maintenance

No, Northgate do not provide toll tags. Toll charges are the driver’s responsibility. Any unpaid M50 Video Toll journeys will be paid by Northgate and re-billed to the customer on a monthly basis. Please note use of the Dublin Tunnel HGV &amp; Bus Lane is prohibited for vehicles under 3500 kilograms. Any penalties incurred due to use of this lane will be passed on to the customer along with an administration fee.<br/><br/>

If you need to offhire your vehicle for any reason please contact your Account Manager or <a href="https://www.northgatevehiclehire.ie/branch-finder" target="">local branch</a> who will be happy to assist. Please note: when you onhire/receive your vehicle from Northgate it has a full tank of fuel. When you return your vehicle to Northgate the fuel tank must also be full. You will be required to pay the cost of replacement fuel where the vehicle is returned without a full tank at our prevailing rate. You will also return the vehicle in the same condition in which you received it (fair wear and tear excepted). Northgate reserves the right to charge for any unreasonable damage and excessive dirtiness.
